Abalone Mosaic Portrait

This piece is part of my experimentation to create portraits with unusual and unique techniques that are inspired by nature. Beautiful iridescent seashells have been parts of artistic creations for thousands of years; therefore, this work manifests something primal with its shimmering, natural shades and because the model looking directly at the viewer.
